Creator Terms of Service

As a Creator on Coursfy, you retain full ownership of all content you create, including courses, discussions, resources, and any supplementary materials. By uploading content to the platform, you grant Coursfy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to:
- Host, store, and distribute your content to users.
-Modify content for accessibility (e.g., adding subtitles, optimizing for mobile, improving readability).
- Promote your content through marketing, advertising, and partnerships.
- Archive or backup content for legal compliance, even if deleted.
This license remains in effect as long as your content is hosted on Coursfy. If you remove content, Coursfy may retain copies for fraud prevention, legal disputes, or regulatory compliance.
Creators must adhere to the following guidelines:
A. Credentials & Expertise
- Provide accurate professional credentials, qualifications, and expertise. - Misrepresentation (e.g., false degrees, exaggerated experience) may result in content removal, account suspension, or legal action.
- If teaching regulated topics (e.g., financial advice, medical training), you must disclose certifications and comply with industry regulations.
B. Legal & Educational Standards
- Ensure all content complies with copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
- Do not use unauthorized third-party materials (e.g., pirated textbooks, unlicensed images).
- Content must be factually accurate—no misleading or deceptive claims.
- Prohibited content includes:
- Illegal or pirated material (e.g., copyrighted books, leaked software).
- Hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory content (e.g., racism, sexism, extremism).
- Spam, scams, or deceptive practices (e.g., fake "get rich quick" schemes).
- Adult or sexually explicit material.
C. Community Moderation
- Creators must actively moderate discussions, comments, and user interactions.
- Remove spam, abusive behavior, or off-topic content promptly.
- Failure to moderate may result in restricted community features, demonetization, or account termination.
The following activities are strictly prohibited and may lead to immediate account suspension without payout:
- Off-Platform Payments: Directing users to pay outside Coursfy (e.g., PayPal, direct bank transfers) to avoid revenue share.
- Impersonation: Pretending to be another person, brand, or entity (e.g., fake celebrity accounts).
- Artificial Engagement: Using bots, fake accounts, or paid click farms to inflate metrics.
- Circumventing Fees: Encouraging users to bypass subscription systems (e.g., sharing login credentials).
- Fraudulent Refunds: Issuing fake refunds or chargebacks to manipulate earnings.
- Creators set their own monthly or annual subscription prices within Coursfy’s approved ranges.
- Coursfy may run promotional campaigns (e.g., discounts for early subscribers, holiday sales).
- Price changes apply only to new subscribers—existing members are grandfathered into their original pricing.
- 90% to Creator / 10% to Platform (after payment processing fees).
- Payout Schedule: Processed monthly, with a hold for fraud prevention.
- Minimum Payout Threshold:
- Varies by bank (typically the base $20)
- If earnings are below the threshold, funds roll over to the next payout cycle.
- International Creators: Responsible for local tax reporting (e.g., VAT, GST).
- VAT/Sales Tax: Handled by Coursfy for EU transactions—creators do not need to register.
- If a subscriber disputes a charge, Coursfy will investigate.
- If the dispute is upheld, the Creator’s earnings may be deducted.
- Repeated chargebacks may result in account restrictions.
- You may remove content at any time, but active subscribers retain access until their billing cycle ends.
- Coursfy reserves the right to keep backup copies for legal compliance.
- Coursfy may suspend payouts or ban accounts for violations of these terms.
- Serious breaches (fraud, illegal content) may result in permanent removal without payout.
- If a payment fails,Coursfy retries for 14 days.
- Subscribers receive email notifications to update payment methods.
- After 14 days of non-payment, access is automatically revoked.
- Members who cancel retain access until the end of their billing period.
- No refunds are issued for partial months.
- Existing members stay at their original subscription price, even if new pricing increases.
- Example:
- If a group is $99/month and changes to $150/month, existing members stay at $99/month.
- Free members remain free unless manually removed.
- 14-Day Cookie Tracking: Referrals are credited if a user signs up within 14 days of clicking your link.
- Pending Funds: Commissions are held for 14 days to prevent refund fraud.
- No Self-Referrals: Creators cannot earn commissions on their own purchases.
- Ownership Changes: If a referred group changes ownership, affiliate payouts stop.
- Coursfy operates on a strict no-refund policy.
- Subscribers are charged at the start of each billing cycle with no prorated refunds.
- Coursfy complies with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws.
- Creators must not share user data externally without consent.
- Disputes between Creators and Coursfy will be resolved via binding arbitration.
- Coursfy is not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its control (e.g., natural disasters, cyberattacks, bank failures)
- Coursfy may update these terms with 30 days’ notice.
- Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
By using Coursfy, you agree to these Creator Terms. Failure to comply may result in content removal, payout suspension, or account termination.
